What if I’m not an activist? How political is Rad Frosh?

If you’ve never thought much about activism, rest assured that you’ll be meeting people in the same position as you. All our activities are meant to be an introduction to politics at McGill and in this great city of yours, so you won’t be overwhelmed. And if you still aren’t into the politics, you’ll nevertheless enjoy the tam-tam visit, the loft parties, the concert, and so much more! So in short, there is something for everyone in Radical Frosh, and you can count on making some awesome, interesting friends.

By the way, what is this QPIRG thingy?
QPIRG stands for the Quebec Public Interest Research Group. QPIRG-McGill is a volunteer-driven, non-profit student organization working on social justice and environmental issues. We work as a base for student and community activism; making links between students and the greater Montreal community. Recognizing the links between various forms of struggle and oppression, we seek to work together in an inclusive non-hierarchical, non-oppressive manner. We are part of a network of PIRGs – 18 in Canada and over 200 in the United States.
